You are about to read eight short stories of Pikes Peak area history – however two of these stories are fabrications. This game is not a test of your historical knowledge, as these stories are not well known. Your test comes down to determining which two of the eight incredulous stories are fabricated fictions. This sounds easy enough, but we expect that the six true stories will challenge your sense of possibility. And we may have peppered the two fictional tales with a few true facts or well-known names to keep you on your toes.
After reading each story you can vote on whether you think they are based on fact or fiction. You will then see how others' opinions compare to yours. After the eighth story, you can take a quiz to finalize your choices for the factual and fictional tales. You will learn the truth, and you may be surprised!
