Zotero is a free and fun to use bibliographic citation manager that integrates with library catalogs, databases, and websites to make it easy to create endnotes, footnotes, and bibliographies in Microsoft Word and LibreOffice. This workshop will cover downloading and installing the Zotero plugins for Firefox and Word, Zotero’s basic functions, how to utilize Zotero with PPLD’s catalog and databases, and how to easily create notes and bibliographies in numerous bibliographic styles. This 90 minute lecture-style workshop is ideal for students doing research papers, nonfiction writers, and anyone who needs help with keeping their research organized. Using Zotero with PPLD's genealogy databases will be covered. Participants competent in research and using Word will receive the most benefit from this class.
